Campaign Ride Terms and Conditions

Our Disclaimer

Conditions of Entry: By entering the Derwent Valley Cycle Safe Campaign Rides (either online or postal or on the day) applicants agree to abide by our terms and conditions as listed below.

Confirmation of Entry: An acceptance email confirms acceptance of online entries. A list of entries will be posted on the website or by email or at the start prior to the events taking place. It is the entrant’s responsibility to inform us if any of these details are incorrect so they can be corrected prior to the event taking place.

Failure to Register Entry: The event organiser cannot be held responsible for cyclists if they fail to register but join the ride of their own accord along the route.
Transfer of Entry: Under no circumstances are applicants permitted to transfer their entry to another individual, unless it is a free entry for event marshals.

Right of Refusal of entry: We maintain the right to refuse or revoke entry to any applicant, where we believe that accepting the entry could prejudice the event, the event organiser, our sponsors, associates or staff. This right of refusal extends to include applications where acceptance is considered by the event organiser to be likely to infringe upon the enjoyment of any persons connected with the event, including staff, marshals, volunteers & other participants.

Participant Withdrawal: We endeavour to make sure we provide you with the event that you have entered. If for any reason we have to completely cancel an event, we will give you a full refund on request. If, after paying for them, you have to withdraw from either of our events, we are prepared to honour your entry into an alternative event at no extra charge or an entry into the following year’s event, provided we are notified 2 weeks before the event. If a participant has to withdraw during the event, they must inform the organiser at the time of withdrawal using the contact numbers provided in the event information. In this case, a refund is not available.

Event Information: All information relating to the Derwent Valley Cycle Safe Campaign Rides will be published on our website. Any foreseen alterations to the course or event will also be published on the website. It is the responsibility of all riders to ensure they are aware of all information relating to the event.

Right to alter event: Derwent Valley Trust, the event organiser, have the right to change any event for the reason of safety without prior notice. Please understand that this would be for your safety. In this case, a refund is not available.
Photography: The Event organiser maintains the right to use images and photographs taken by their contracted photographers and employees at the event without informing or recompensing event participants. These images can be used for promotional purposes as undertaken by the event organiser and their partners, which will cover a range of possible uses including advertising press and media, printed information items, editorial coverage and any other promotion directly related to the event organiser or their sponsors.
